Our story

In the fall of 2023, a casual phone call between lifelong friends, Liam Feeley and Carson Harvey, set the wheels in motion for what would become the Iowa Outdoor Supply Company. Liam, frustrated with the lack of Iowa-themed hats that aligned with his vision, vented to Carson about the struggle to find something beyond sports-related designs. Carson, always ready with a witty remark, jokingly suggested, "Why don't you just make those hats yourself?" Little did they know, this seemingly humorous remark would spark the birth of their very own venture.

The idea lingered in the air, and as the night progressed, Liam and Carson found themselves deep in conversation, exploring the possibility of turning this whimsical idea into reality. Hours turned into a full-fledged eight-hour work session, fueled by passion and determination. They brainstormed logo ideas and researched hat suppliers, slowly transforming their joke into a serious business plan. By the end of that night, their excitement was palpable – the seed for the Iowa Outdoor Supply Company had been planted.

As winter set in, the duo dedicated themselves to refining their vision. On February 1st, 2024, they proudly launched their first hat, each one telling a story of Iowa's beauty and embodying the spirit of adventure that the duo cherished throughout their lives. From a simple complaint about the lack of suitable hats to a thriving business, Liam and Carson's journey is a testament to the power of friendship, passion, and the determination to bring their vision to life.
